Free Kindle screensavers and lock screen wallpapers
Browse free Kindle screensavers, sleep-screen art, and lock screen wallpapers for Paperwhite, Scribe, Oasis, and Kindle Basic. Amazon does not offer a screensaver folder — use Display Cover with a dummy EPUB or AZW3 instead of jailbreaking.
Screen sizes
Use the native resolution so the sleep screen is sharp, not stretched.

How to install
- 1. Remove Special Offers. Ads hide Display Cover. Remove them from Amazon’s device settings (or ask support).
- 2. Enable Display Cover. Settings → Device Options → Display Cover. Kindle will use the current book cover as the lock screen.
- 3. Send a dummy book whose cover is your wallpaper. Convert a high-contrast portrait image to EPUB or AZW3, open it, then press power. That cover stays as the screensaver.
FAQ
- How do I change the Kindle screensaver without jailbreaking?
- Remove ads, turn on Display Cover, then open a dummy ebook whose cover is your wallpaper. The Kindle lock screen shows that cover while the file is the last book you opened.
- What size should a Kindle Paperwhite wallpaper be?
- Paperwhite 11th generation is sharp at about 1236×1648 pixels, portrait. Use high contrast; muddy gray photos look washed out on e-ink.
- What is a Kindle screen saver?
- The sleep screen or lock screen shown when the Kindle is off. Stock firmware cannot pick an arbitrary image; Display Cover uses the current book cover as the screen saver. A dummy EPUB/AZW3 whose cover is your wallpaper is the no-jailbreak workaround.
- How do I change the wallpaper on a Kindle Basic?
- Remove ads, turn on Display Cover, and open a dummy book whose cover is your wallpaper. Kindle Basic (11th gen) uses 1072×1448 pixels, the same size as Paperwhite 10th gen.
